The Project includes the following Work: Removal and replacement of the existing 14,400 SF glued EPDM membrane roof system with 1-75 windstorm rating and 20-year manufacturer's labor and material warranty to cover failure to prevent penetration of water, with an enhanced wind speed resistance of 55 mph. The existing roof currently consists of a sloped two span precast double tee structure with stripping between structural members, asphalt glued 2-ply vapor barrier, two layers of asphalt glued flat sheet insulation, and asphalt glued tapered insulation on the southern end to roof scuppers to provide drainage. The Work includes the removal and replacement of existing lightning protection system and parapet cap metal flashing. The offsite disposal of removed systems is incidental to the base bid scope of work. A Bid Alternate is to be provided as the cost difference from the base bid for replacement of the existing roof system with a roof system designed with 1-90 windstorm rating and a 30-year manufacturer's labor and material warranty to cover failure to prevent penetration of water, with an enhanced wind speed resistance of 90 mph as specified in the Alternate G-1 Specification. Location of the project is approximately 8 miles north of Zap, ND at the following address: 101 County Road 13, Zap, ND 58580. Bids are requested for the following Contract: SWA Contract WTP-2023-1 Owner anticipates that the Project's total bid price will be approximately $400,000. The Project has a Substantial Completion date of November 30, 2023. Each Bid must be accompanied by a separate envelope containing a copy of a current and valid North Dakota Contractor's License issued at least ten (10) days prior to Bid opening, and a Bidder's Bond in a sum equal to five percent (5%) of the full amount of the Bid, executed by the Bidder as Principal and by a Surety, conditioned that if the Principal's Bid is accepted and the Contract awarded to Principal, the Principal, within ten (10) days after notice of award, shall execute a Contract in accordance with the terms of the Bid and a Contractor's Bond as required by law and regulations and determinations of the North Dakota State Water Commission. Bidders shall submit proof of qualification to perform the Work as described in the Instructions to Bidders. Prospective Bidders may obtain or examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Monday through Friday between the hours of 8 AM and 5 PM, and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described below. Upon Issuing Office's receipt of payment, printed Bidding Documents will be sent via the prospective Bidder's delivery method of choice; the shipping charge will depend on the shipping method chosen. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office or designated website.
