Bids are invited upon the several items and quantities of work as follows: Town of Lexington Bid Number 24-3, SCIIP GRANT NO. A-23-C120: Construction of sewer forcemain: 34-LF 4", 3,283-LF 6", 1,304-LF 8", 798-LF 10", 18,946-LF 12", and 5-LF 18". Force main installation via a combination of open cut, bore and jack, and horizontal directional drill. Project also includes air release valves, plug valves, fittings, connections, pavement repair, sediment and erosion control, landscape restoration, and all necessary appurtenances as specified and depicted in the Contract Documents. Reference is made to the information included in Sections 00815, 00818, and 00820. No bid shall be considered unless the bidder is legally qualified under the provisions of the South Carolina Contractor's Licensing Law and has a classification of General Contractor-Public Utilities and a sub-classification of Water and Sewer Lines with the appropriate License Group Limitation for the Bid amount. This project is subject to the Town of Lexington's Local Vendor Preference Policy. No bidder may withdraw his Bid within 90 consecutive days after the actual date of opening. A certified check or bank draft payable to the order of the OWNER, negotiable U. S. Government Bonds (at par value), or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable Surety in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total Bid shall be submitted with each Bid. Attention is called to the fact that not less than the minimum salaries and wages as set forth in the Contract Documents must be paid on this project as applicable. Any inquiry received before the close of business on October 30th, 2023 shall be given consideration. Every interpretation made to a Bidder will be in the form of an Addendum to the Contract Documents, and when issued, shall be on file with the office of the Owner and the office of the Engineer
