The City of Sandy Springs is undertaking a Safety Action Plan that complies with the City's USDOT Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) grant. The City is seeking traffic count quotes from traffic counting firms. The City seeks to normalize crash data by traffic volume. The Traffic Counting Firm will provide traffic count quotes for 580 locations on each leg of the high injury network and high crash location intersections. These counts will involve the placement of 694 road tubes, because some of the locations are divided by a raised median. Counts are needed of vehicles travelling in both directions of each location for 48 hours of a typical weekday. The City of Sandy Springs reserves the right to reject all bids and to waive technicalities and informalities, and to make award in the best interest of the City of Sandy Springs.
