The Streamwood Park District, Cook County, Illinois that bids will be received for the FPCC Guard Structure Demolition Project. This project includes, but is not limited to, the removal of the existing guard structure on the Forest Preserves of Cook County property within the Janura Forest Preserve; temporary tree protection measures; site landscape restoration; and other appurtenant work. All bidders must submit with their bid, a resume of three (3) similar projects performed. IDOT pre-qualification is not required, however, preferred. Bid security in the form of a Bid Bond, Bank Cashiers Check or Certified Check in the amount of FIVE (5) percent of the total bid amount made payable to the Streamwood Park District shall accompany the bid. This work is subject to the wage provisions of the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act. 820 ILCS 130/0/01 et seq. and the Illinois Substance Abuse Prevention on Public Works Projects Act. 820 ILCS 265/1 et seq relative to prevailing wages of laborers, mechanics, and other workers employed in any Public Works as amended by Public Acts 86799 and 86693. The Streamwood Park District reserves the right to reject any and all bids and bidders and to waive all technicalities. All bid proposals submitted shall be valid for a period of one hundred twenty (120) days The Park District reserves the right to award any bidder based on negotiation with any and all bidders after receipt of bids.
