The work for which these proposals are submitted for the DISTRICTS Gateway Utilities Storage Building consists of furnishing all labor, equipment, and materials for the construction of the facilities. All work performed shall be in accordance with the plans, specifications and Contract Documents pertaining hereto, in compliance with all applicable laws, rules, regulations, permits, development orders and government approvals. The DISTRICT will require a Bid Security/Bond and a Public Construction Bond on this project. The BIDDER shall provide Bid Security in an amount not less than five percent (5%) (including applicable alternates) of the total amount of the bid. The Bid Security is to be submitted to the DISTRICT in triplicate (one original and two copies). The copies must be a photographic reproduction of the completed form set forth in the Contract Documents and be clearly marked "COPY". A Public Construction Bond issued in a sum equal to one hundred (100%) percent of the total awarded contract amount by a surety company considered satisfactory by the District and otherwise authorized to transact business in the State of Florida shall be required from the successful BIDDER. Only the form provided with the contract documents (Form No. GSD:007 provided in Part E) will be accepted. Proposals/bids shall be prepared, addressed, and submitted in compliance with the detailed instructions as set forth in the Contract Documents. The DISTRICT reserves the right to reject any and all bids, with or without cause, to waive technical errors, minor variations and informalities or to accept the bid which, in its judgement, is most advantageous to and best serves the DISTRICT.
