Lowell Signage (Interior Campus Signs) Bid Number # CL24-XX-XXXX The University of Massachusetts Lowell is located in the historic industrial city of Lowell, 25 miles northwest of Boston; the campus spans more than 150 acres along the Merrimack River. The University is a nationally ranked research institute, continually adding new faculty and labs, and therefore always updating signage across campus. The intent of this IFB is to identify manufacturers to fabricate signs to match the University's existing interior sign standards as designed by Roll Barresi and Associates (Attachment D). The bid award will be a three (3) year base contract with two (2) possible extensions up to one (1) year in length, to the manufacturer who can supply the best productsin terms of quality, cost, ease of ordering and commitment to furnishing these products in a timely manner. To assist in this selection process, UML requires each bidder to provide actual samples of 5 specific sign types as part of their submittal for comparison. These are all ADA compliant sign types, and some are designed with removable inserts that will be printed inhouse.
