The Main St and Story Ave Intersection Rebuild project includes asphalt paving, sidewalk, and traffic signal work at the intersection of E Main St, Story Ave, and Baxter Ave. Bidders and DBE subcontractors must be prequalified with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet and possess a Certificate of Eligibility at the time of the bid opening. All other subcontractors must be prequalified when accepting subcontracts. Bidder is required to furnish a Bid Bond in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the Total Bid. The Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) goal established for this contract is six percent (5%) of the total value of the contract. Performance Bond a. The successful Bidder must submit a performance bond satisfactory to the Metro Government executed by a surety company authorized to do business in Kentucky, or otherwise supplied, satisfactory to the Metro Government, in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price as it may be increased. Payment Bond a. The successful Bidder must submit a payment bond satisfactory to the Metro Government, executed by a surety company authorized to do business in Kentucky, or otherwise supplied, satisfactory to the Metro Government, for the protection of all persons supplying labor and material to the Bidder or its subcontractors for the performance of the work provided for in this Bid. The bond shall be in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the original contract price.
