Location Inyo County Administrative Building (Independence CA) This project consists of constructing a new freestanding 40'x40' metal structure with all utilities on a concrete slab at the Big Pine animal shelter. Bids shall conform to and be responsive to the Contract Documents. Bids are required for the entire work described in the Contract Documents. Each Bid must be submitted on the Bid Proposal Forms furnished as a part of the Bid Package. Each Bid must be accompanied by a Proposal Guarantee in the amount and form described in the Bid Package, in an amount not less than 10% of the amount of the bid, made payable to the order of the County of Inyo. The check or bond shall be given as security that the bidder will enter into the Contract with the County and furnish the required Faithful Performance Bond, Labor and Materials Payment Bond, Certificates and/or original endorsements of insurance, or other required documents. The check or bond may be retained by the County for sixty (60) days or until the Contract is fully executed by the successful bidder and the County, whichever first occurs. The successful bidder shall be required to furnish a Faithful Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Payment Bond on the forms provided in the Bid Package and in the amount of 100% of the Contract amount. Inyo County reserves the right at any stage of these proceedings to reject any or all Bids or to waive any immaterial defect in any Bid if it is deemed to be in the best interest of the County. The 2’x6’ blocks that are called out in the plans are being changed to a 2’ x 25’ retaining wall made of cinderblock. An additional line item of Fence Removal is to be added to the scope. This line Item should include 75 Lineal Feet of fence removal. An additional line item of Gravel/Crushed Rock is to be added to the scope to be installed underneath the vapor barrier for the concrete slab. A total of 6” of gravel which would equate to approximately 30 cubic yards. The roll up door shall be a manual 7’x7’ coiled roll up door. The Title 24 report for this building has already been done, and is attached to this document. The values provided in this report shall be used as the minimum requirements for walls, ceiling, door and window insulation.
