The contractor is responsible to bid on performing the following work to meet or exceed the minimum standards set below. All installations are to be complete and must conform to the manufacturer's specifications as well as all applicable codes pertaining to same. Remove bottom 16" of T111 from Three (3) sides of the shed. Install 1/2 plywood to cover bottom 16" of the shed. Level shed using secure materials front to back, side to side. Install vinyl siding and Styrofoam backing on entire exterior of the shed. Install double 4" horizontal vinyl siding such as Mastic (Nominal wall thickness .042") or approved equal and required accessories. Standard color selected by homeowner. Secure any loose wood members, replace rotted wood, and remove old caulking around windows and doors before installing siding. Use wood lath to fir low spots in walls, under and over windows, doors, and wherever it is necessary to maintain the line and pitch of the panels. Use aluminum nails for securing panels and trim in place of sufficient length to penetrate the under base at least 1". Panel nailing is not to exceed 16" o.c. and nailed in center of slots so as to permit lateral movement of panels. Trim and accessories are to be nailed 12" o.c. in the center of slots. Do not face nail. Use accessories where manufacturer recommends, such as Starter Strip, L or J channel, flashing strip, under sill trim, inside and outside corners. Build out window and door trim to flush up appropriately with new siding. Caulk around openings and abutting wood trim with Dap Caulking Compound or equal to prevent air infiltration. Siding is to run level and true, panels to meet at uniform levels at corners, siding abutting wood trim, and adjacent siding is to be squarely cut and properly fitted with allowance for thermal expansion and contraction. Stagger joints so that any joint two joints in line will be separated by at least two panels. Short pieces of panel are not to be concentrated in one area. The installation of siding and accessories is to be in accordance with manufacturer's recommendations and above specifications. Manufacturing warranty information must be given to the homeowner prior to final payment. Exterior Rehab Work 915 Walnut St State College, PA 16801.
