1. Project Title: Bridge Maintenance: Old Lake Wilson Road over Davenport Creek 924147 2. Intent: The intent of this solicitation is to select a successful Bidder (Contractor) to provide for Bridge Maintenance for Old Lake Wilson Road over Davenport Creek 924147 3. Background: This bridge is inspected by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) every two (2) years. Utilizing the inspection report and additional reviews, the set of plans was created to address maintenance issues. 4. Scope of Work: This project will consist of desilting corrugated metal pipes, clean, and coat the pipes, repair damaged and undermined sections of existing sand -cement headwalls, fill undermined area of asphalt, asphalt repairs, and other miscellaneous work. This is not intended to be a complete list. Please refer to the Plans that have been uploaded to the Procurement Services SharePoint Online site, which may be accessed through the link reflected on page two (2) of this ITB Document. Note: A Right of Way permit will not be required for this project. Permit from the South Florida Water Management District and the Florida Department of Environmental Protection have been acquired. Coordination with the agencies will be required per the permit criteria. If a dewatering permit is required, that will be the responsibility of the contractor. Please refer to the Specific Conditions of the permit. 5. Contractor Pre-Qualification: The Prime Contractor Shall: Either be Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) Prequalified per Chapter 337.14 F.S. and Rule 14-22 F.A.C. in the following Work Class: 27. Minor Bridges Or, demonstrate previous experience in completing three (3) similar projects within the past five (5) years. Projects must be similar in work, scope, and complexity to the Project(s) detailed in this solicitation. Attachment "F" Experience of Bidder of the solicitation document must be completed and included with the Bidder's bid submittal. Projects indicated as examples may be those completed within or without Osceola County, and/or previous projects completed for Osceola County. Note: The County, at its sole discretion, will evaluate information provided by a Bidder in Attachment "F" Experience of Bidder, and determine whether or not the indicated "similar projects" represent a comparison and reflect the requisite experience required by the County to complete the projects detailed in this solicitation. 6. Governing Standards and Specifications: Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), Standard Plans dated 2022-2023, and Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction Dated July 2022, as amended by Contract Documents. Questions regarding this bid must be received through written email or faxed inquiries directed to the designated Procurement Services Representative. Questions of sufficient general interest will be formatted by the Procurement Services Office and issued to all interested parties in the form of an addendum. The deadline for questions is Friday, September 15, 2023, at 12:00 P.M. local Time.
