The Project consists of in- stalling HMA pavement on the alley located between Oak Street and Fourth Street. This Project also con- sists of repaving portions of the Platteville Business Incubator's parking lot as well as miscellaneous park- ing lot repairs. Bids shall be on a unit price basis, with additive alternate bid items as indicated in the Bid Form. No proposal will be accepted unless accompanied by a certified check or bid bond equal to at least five percent (5%) of the amount bid, payable to the OWNER as a guarantee that, if the bid is accepted, the Bidder will execute and file the proper contract and bond within 15 days after the award of the contract. The certified check or bid bond will be returned to the Bidder as soon as the contract is signed. If after 15 days the Bidder shall fail to do so, the certified check or bid bond shall be forfeited to the OWNER as liquidated damages. BIDDER is required to deliver the original certified check or bid bond within 72 hours of bid opening to Delta 3 Engineering, Inc., Attn: Dan Dreessens, 875 S. Chestnut Street, Platteville, Wisconsin 53818. Bids may not be withdrawn within 90 days after the date of the bid opening. The OWNER reserves the right to increase or decrease the quantity of any item or portion of the work, or to omit portions of the work, as may be deemed necessary by the OWNER, and the same shall in no way affect or make void the contract, except those additions to, or deductions from, the contract price will be appropriately made. Bidding Documents may also be examined at the office of the City of Platteville, at 75 N. Bonson Street, Platteville, Wisconsin 53818, on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. CST. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. Contractor shall furnish a performance bond and a payment bond, each in an amount at least equal to the Contract Price, as security for the faithful performance and payment of all of Contractors obligations under the Contract The Work will be substantially completed on or before November 17, 2023, and completed and ready for final payment in accordance with Paragraph 15.06 of the General Conditions on or before December 15, 2023. The Work shall be continuous and uninterrupted.
