Per CBHR Engineers- Project is out to Rebid The project consists of Mechanical (Base Bid) 1. Remove and Replace 13 Packaged Air Handler Units (PAHU01-09, PAHU19, PAHU22-23 & PAHU26). 2. Demolish 2 outside air units on north side of building (PC-1 and PC-2) along with associated condensing units outdoors. Install motorized outdoor air damper in ductwork to remain. 3. Invert position of existing cooling and existing heating coils in (X)AHU-1 AND (X)AHU-2 such that the heating coil is in the second, or reheat position to facilitate humidity control via dehumidification control sequence. 4. (X)AHU-3, (X)AHU-4 and existing split system heat pumps to remain. 5. Northern-most condensate basins to be abandoned in place and existing condensate line to be intercepted in mezzanine and routed to splash block in landscaping. plans and specifications may be obtained from CBHF Engineers, PLLC, 2246 Yaupon Drive, Wilmington, NC 28401 and(910) 791-4000 during normal office hours beginning Monday, August 28, 2023. Complete sets of Bid Documents must be used in preparing Bids. New Hanover County Schools has a verifiable ten percent (10%) goal for participation by minority businesses in the total value of the work. Bid Security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the proposal must accompany each proposal in accordance with the Information for Bidders. No bid maybe withdrawn for a period of forty-five days after the opening thereof. The successful bidder will be required to furnish 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Material Payment Bond. New Hanover County Schools reserves the right to reject any and all bids for sound documented reason, waive informalities and irregularities in bidding. Licensed Mechanical Contractors must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience on competitively bid publicly funded construction projects e.g. City, County, State or School Systems.
