HMRD(Henry Miller Reclamation District No. 2131) Main Office Window Replacement Window Replacement. Remove existing single hung vertical slide windows in 5 locations and replace with fixed picture windows at south elevation of HMRD Main Office building. Contractor responsible to accurately measure and order new windows. Upon delivery of new windows, cut exterior building stucco using proper industry techniques, methods, strategies, and tools to minimize stucco damage. In addition, contractor to remove existing wood beam set in stucco above window locations at the southwest elevation. Prepare, inspect, and clean window opening(s) inside and out. Any existing internal water damage, if found, to be billed at T & M. Install metal flashing, caulk, foam, waterproof membrane, sealant, sill pan, etc., as needed to ensure a watertight installation. Install new windows to current industry standards. Repair stucco in all construction areas using proper industry techniques, methods, strategies, and tools. Wire lath base, blend texture to match existing, ensuring no gap between stucco and window(s). Contractor also responsible for interior drywall repair, corner bead, tape, match existing texture, and installation of windows sills. Prime coat painting construction areas to be completed by contractor, and final painting to be completed by others. Contractor is responsible to manage, dispose of, and minimize all construction related dust and debris both indoor/outdoor daily, throughout project. All work to be scheduled in a sequential manner to minimize impact to HMRD operations. Contractor responsible for building security related specifically to construction areas prior to the close of each workday. Contractor responsible for obtaining, managing, and closing any applicable permits, and or inspections related to this project. The work is "public work" subject to prevailing wages. Printed copies can also be provided by the District upon request. Relevant public work requirements are using the appropriate number of apprentices on the jobs site (Labor Code 1777.5), maintaining necessary workers' compensation coverage (Labor Code 1860, 1861), keeping accurate records of the work performed on the project (Labor Code 1812), permitting inspection of the payroll records (Labor Code 1776; 8 CCR 16400(e)), and complying with any other legal requirements, including but not limited to those found in Labor Code 1720-1861 and California Code of Regulations title 8, 16000-16414. No contractor or subcontractor may be listed on the bid proposal unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code 1725.5. No contractor or subcontractor may be awarded a contract for public work on a public works project unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code 1725.5. This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations. The Contractor shall be licensed under the laws of the State of California. The bids will be opened in public at the above prescribed time and date. Award will be made to the lowest responsible bidder, however, the District reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities in the bid, and to postpone the date of bid opening.
