The City of Bellingham (City) is seeking written statements of qualifications from consulting firms with expertise in municipal utility design and rehabilitation. The City of Bellingham (City) is issuing this request for qualifications (RFQ) from consulting firms interested in providing professional design services for the Bakerview Multimodal Improvements project (ES568) project. The Bakerview Multimodal Improvements project will widen Bakerview Road between James Street and Kramer Lane adding bicycle lanes in both directions, ADA compliant sidewalks on both sides, curb and gutter and stormwater collection and treatment, and two RRFB crossings. Services, including professional engineering services, and construction engineering and/or administration, may be added/removed from the contract contingent upon funding availability and project needs. This project is funded through various City of Bellingham utility funds. Persons with disabilities may request this information be prepared and supplied in alternate forms by calling (360) 778-7750. The City of Bellingham, in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Department of Transportation, subtitle A, Office of the Secretary, Part 21, nondiscrimination in federally assisted programs of the Department of Transportation issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises as defined at 49 CFR Part 26 will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, national origin or sex in consideration for an award. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
