To include approximately 4,000 square yards of asphalt milling and approximately 4,000 square yards of asphalt paving & appurtenance. Copies of bidding forms, specifications and other contract documents will be on file at the office of Alpha Engineering Co., Inc. 2668 Leechburg Road, Lower Burrell, PA 15068. Direct all communications to Kimberly Lynch by phone 724-339-2000 or email at alphaengineering@verizon.net Bids may be held by Owner for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of opening bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of bidders, prior to awarding the contract. The successful bidder will be required to furnish satisfactory Performance, Labor and Materials Payment and Maintenance Bonds. The Owners reserve the right to accept or reject any or all bids. A Certified Check payable to the City of New Kensington, or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder as acceptable surety, in the amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total of the Bid must be included with each bid. All sealed bids shall be clearly marked on the envelope as to the contract number and name. Contractors must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against regardless of gender, race, age, religious beliefs, ethnicity, sexual orientation and/or national origin. In addition to the Equal Employment requirements of Executive Order 11246, the Contractor in accordance with Executive Orders 11625 and 12138 must utilize to the greatest extent feasible minority and/or women owned businesses located within the Municipality, County or general trade areas. Attention is called to the HUD Labor Standards Provisions found on HUD form 4010 and Davis Bacon Wages as set forth in the Contract Documents which do apply to this project.
