Reference Number 0000328138 The purpose of this formal Request for Quote is to solicit written quotes from qualified firms to supply steel natural gas pipe and associated components for delivery to the 4" and 6" Steel pipe projects in Paxton FL, Laurel Hill, and Freeport FL. All items and workmanship shall meet or exceed all industry and safety standards described. Only qualified vendors with past performance in the manufacture of coated steel natural gas pipe need quote. For coated steel pipe used in District pipelines, the District restricts the purchase of supplies that are not domestic end products. For manufactured steel line pipe, the District uses a two-part test to define a domestic end product: (1) The article must be manufactured in the United States; and (2) The cost of domestic components must exceed 50 percent of the cost of all the components.
