Cleveland State University (CSU) is soliciting responses to this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) to select a design firm to develop plans and for strategic concepting for a campus wide electrical upgrade, which includes but may not be limited to the following: Washkewicz Hall: Retrofit both (2) 480V & 208V Main Switches 2000A Pringle Bolted Pressure Switch with modern draw out power breakers o Supply Dynamic Arc Suppression - Arc Flash Reduction System Include test & clean on the rest of the unit substation & switchgear in the room Berkman Hall: Switchgear Modernization Retrofit "Sub 3" Pringle switch with 4000A modern draw out power breaker o Supply Dynamic Arc Suppression - Arc Flash Reduction System Replace up to five (5) broken disconnect Federal Pacific switch handles Include test & clean on the rest of the unit substation & switchgear in the room Replace FPE Emergency MCC-3 in upper parking Middough Building: Retrofit "Main Service Disconnect #1" and "Main Service Disconnect #2" 2500A Pringle Bolted Pressure Switch with modern draw out power breaker o Supply Dynamic Arc Suppression - Arc Flash Reduction System Include test & clean on the rest of the unit substation & switchgear in the room Music Building: Retrofit "Main Switch" 2000A Pringle Bolted Pressure Switch with modern draw out power breakers o Supply Dynamic Arc Suppression - Arc Flash Reduction System Include test & clean on the rest of the unit substation & switchgear in the room Rhodes Tower: Retrofit chiller #3 1200A Main Bolted Pressure Switch o Supply Dynamic Arc Suppression - Arc Flash Reduction System Replace chillers #4 & #5 2400V Main Disconnect Switches integral to starters. Handle may become energized. Further engineering study needed. Julka Hall: Retrofit 4000A Main Bolted Pressure Switch with modern draw out power breaker Retrofit 1600A SB1 Bolted Pressure Switch with modern draw out power breaker o Supply Dynamic Arc Suppression - Arc Flash Reduction System Include test & clean on the rest of the unit substation & switchgear in the room Prospect Garage: Replace 4000A Main Bolted Pressure switch with modern draw out power breaker o Supply Dynamic Arc Suppression - Arc Flash Reduction System Include test & clean on the rest of the unit substation & switchgear in the room Physical Education: Replace 1600A Main Switch Due to Corrosion o Supply Dynamic Arc Suppression - Arc Flash Reduction System Include test & clean on the rest of the unit substation & switchgear in the room Urban Building: Replace 1600A Main Breaker with modern draw out power breaker o Supply Dynamic Arc Suppression - Arc Flash Reduction System Include test & clean on the rest of the unit substation & switchgear in the room Submit all questions regarding this RFQ in writing to Michelle Westerman at m.westerman@csuohio.edu with the project number included in the subject line (no phone calls please).
