As of October 17, 2023, Per the owner, "We did not award the project. We will rebid the project at a later time." Project will begin on or about October 30, 2023, and the substantial completion date is December 22, 2023. Work should occur between the hours of 7am and 5pm on weekdays. Additional hours or weekend work may be possible in limited circumstances. Question Deadline 09/04/2023 Submit questions and request for clarification no less than 10 days before the Receipt of Bids. Questions and clarifications will be answered by Addenda no less than 4 days prior to Receipt of Bids. Jacqueline.thompson@bolton-menk.com 919-417-6753 Work included in the project consists of milling the top 1.5 inches of existing pavement and widening the existing 2 lane roadway to 3 lanes. The widening will occur on both the northbound and southbound sides, tapering from the existing width to a maximum 6.5 ft widening on both sides. New storm sewer structures and pipes will be installed to collect drainage and maintain existing drainage patterns, and ditches will be regraded. Liquidated Damages Contractor will not be held responsible for delays outside of their control, such as unusual weather. Contractor is responsible for notifying Bolton & Menk, Inc. in writing as to any anticipated delays and the reasons for same. Contractor will be assessed liquidated damages in amount of $500.00 per day after the completion date established in the construction contract if there is any remaining work or punch list items. Bid bonds equal to not less than 5% of bid amount will be required, and should be submitted with the Bid Form. Performance bonds and Payment bonds will be required for the full amount of the contract and for the duration of the project only. Please Note again; payments Will not be made until work is completed and accepted by owner and architect. MWSBE Requirements In accordance with State General Statute 143-128.2, The Town of Rolesville has established a verifiable goal of ten percent (10%) for participation by minority businesses in the total value of the work. As part of the Bid submission, Bidders are to include the Identification of Minority Business Participation and either Affidavit A or Affidavit B as included following the Bid Form at the end of the Project Manual. Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities.
