SJCUD is launching a program to protect surface water and groundwater and improve the quality of the region's natural systems by minimizing septic tanks in the County. The program will be structured to comply with the requirements pursuant to subparagraph 403.067(7)(a)9, Florida Statutes, the Clean Water ways Act 2020-150, and House Bill 1379(2023). The septic-to-sewer program is a long-term plan that aims to identify and replace septic systems within the SJCUDs service area and align requirements for future development with the regulatory goals. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
