Harris Township is accepting sealed bids for the Phase 1 South Church Street Paving Project, Contract No. 23-03. If the Bid is sent through the mail or other delivery system, the sealed envelope shall be enclosed in a separate envelope with the notation 23-03 BID ENCLOSED on the face of it. Please mail Bids to Harris Township at P.O. Box 20, Boalsburg, PA 16827. The Contract Base Bid includes installation of 129 tons of 9.5 mm WMA Wearing, 1.5" compacted depth; 1210 LF of variable depth milling; 1480 square yards of pavement reconstruction; and 1210 LF restoration of line painting for lane delineation. The Contract Add Alternate Bid includes installation of 139 tons of 9.5 mm WMA Wearing, 1.5" compacted depth; 1080 LF of variable depth milling; 379 square yards of pavement reconstruction; and 1080 LF restoration of line painting for lane delineation and one (1) 24" Stop Bar line painting. The Work in Contract No. 23-03 is to be completed within 45 days of notice to proceed. Said notice to proceed will be coordinated with contractor but shall be issued no later than October 6, 2023. If express delivery is requested, the charges will be paid by the recipient. Bid security must be provided at the time of bid submission in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid price made payable to Harris Township in the form of a certified or bank check or a bid bond issued by an accepted surety and executed by the bidder. Surety companies executing bonds must be listed in the U.S. Treasury Department Circular 570, as currently amended, and be authorized to be in business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Contracts for work under this Bid will obligate the Contractor and Subcontractors not to discriminate in employment practices. The Contractor must comply with the AntiKickback Act, and the Contract Work Hours Standard. Harris Township reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any bidding informalities
