The project must be complete by March t,2024. The project is located adjacent and through rural driveways and orchards approximately %mile north of Midway Road from %mile east of Batavia Road to Porter Road, near Dixon in solano county california. The project generally includes installing approximately 1,660 feet of 48-inch diameter, DR l7 HDPE pipe and steel fittings; connections to existing pipes and installation of valve risers and access strucfures; demolition and removal of reinforced concrete vents and junction boxes; removal and abandonment of existing pipelines; installation of valves, and appurtenances, and surface restoration. The District has pre-purchased 48" HDPE pipe and fittings and will be furnishing an assortment of fabricated steel pipe special fittings, see Appendii g for complete list. Project specific questions must be made in writing and sent to Nancy McWilliams nmcwilliams@.sidwater.org The cutoff date for submittal of questions is Friday, september 22,2023,by 3:00 pM local time. Bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bidder's bond for ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid. Refer to Section 9A' of the Instructions to Bidders for further instructions. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, and a labor and materials bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (I00%) of the contract price The Contractor shall possess a Class A General Engineering Contractor license, as required under the laws of the State of Califomia, at the time the contract is awarded. Award will be made to the lowest responsible bidder, however, Solano Irrigation District reseryes the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities in the bid, and to postpone the date of the bid opening.
