For the supply and placement of approximately 52,300 metres of blow and seal crack repair is required that consists of cleaning the cracks with a hot compressed air and sealing the cracks with a hot poured rubberized bituminous sealant as per OPPS.MUNI 341 as well as the specifications outlined herein. The Contract shall be for an initial two (2) year period with fixed pricing. The County reserves the right to extend the contract an additional three (3) one-year terms, under the same terms and conditions, based on satisfactory performance and successful price negotiation in accordance with relevant CPI rates. Bidders shall provide a written response to any such request for clarification within five (5) working days following receipt of such a request, or within such shorter time as the Owner may require. Questions related to this tender may be submitted via the Bidding System using the Submit a question feature. Liquidated Damages: $1,000 per calendar day The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Bids or to accept any Bid should it be deemed to be in its best interest to do so in its sole and absolute discretion. The lowest Bid will not necessarily be accepted. A Bid Bond in the amount of ten (10%) percent of the Sub Total Contract Amount, shall be submitted with your Bid Submission. A Performance Bond for the due completion of the Work in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Contract, the bond shall be in an amount equal to one hundred (100%) percent of the Sub Total Contract Price. A Labour and Material Payment Bond shall be in an amount equal to fifty (50%) percent of the Sub Total Contract Price.
