Bidders must be currently prequalified by Highway Division with the class of work as, Sanitary Sewer Spot Repairs/Pump Station Influent Pipe Replacement/Storm water, for the project with an estimated total value of $651,000 will be required. The work for this project, as shown in the Contract drawings, includes open-cut excavation and repair of existing damaged sanitary sewer mains and laterals at twentythree locations. These spot repairs are mostly located along Bridge Street between Virginia Avenue and Bass Street with additional repairs located on Hale Street, Ober Street, and East Corning Street. Additional work for this project includes manhole and pipe repairs on Neptune Street, influent pipe replacement at Wentzell Avenue and Bayview Avenue pump stations, and new catch basin installation and trenchless rehabilitation of existing storm water pipe at the intersection of Bates Park Avenue and Holding Street. The Contract Time shall be 150 Calendar Days commencing ten days following the Effective Date of the Agreement. Each Bid shall be submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and shall be accompanied by a Bid Security in the amount of 5 percent of the Bid. Bidders may not withdraw their Bids for a period of sixty days, excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and legal holidays after the actual date of the opening of the Bids. The Successful Bidder must furnish a 100 percent Performance Bond and a 100 percent Payment Bond with a surety company acceptable to the Owner. Contractors are directed to specification section for contractor minimum qualifications. Wage rates for this Project are subject to the minimum wage rates as per M.G.L., Chapter 149, and Section 26 to 27 H inclusive. The bidding and award of this Contract will be under the provisions of M.G.L. Chapter 30, Section 39M. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informality in or to reject any or all Bids if deemed to be in its best interest
