Monitoring, Maintenance and Installation of Alarms (Fire and Intrusion Detection). Entrance to the building for both drop off and opening is from the main entrance in the front of the building. All those who obtain the bid document, including but not limited to potential bidders, agree to keep confidential all information and documentation provided by the Town of Islip or otherwise obtained by Contractor concerning the location and operation of the Town of Islip FIRE AND TOWN INTRUSION detection systems. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or acceptable bid bond in the amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the bid and made payable to the Town of Islip. No responsibility shall attach to any person or persons for premature opening of bids not properly labeled or sealed. The Town Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids in whole or part, to waive any informality in any or all bids, and to accept the bid or part thereof which it deems most favorable to the Town. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of forty-five (45) days after being publicly opened and read. In the event bids are rejected, or at least two (2) bids are not received, the Department of Purchasing is fully authorized to re-advertise for bids. Any person with a disability who requires a Sign Language Interpreter, Auxiliary Aids, or Special Accomodations to attend the bid opening and/or the pre-bid meeting (if applicable), please call constituent services at 224-5380 or 224-5397 TDD.
