The City of Maquoketa is requesting sealed competitive quotes installing (2) two ADA Handi-cap curb ramps along with a concrete roadway gutter at the intersection of Vermont and Erie Street. Final quantities will be paid by actual measurements done together and agreed upon by both Contractor and Public Works Director. All wor k necessary to complete the projects shall be included in the unit cost as quoted. Please keep in mind that sales tax does not pertain to municipal work and should not be included in your bid. The City reserves the right to reject all bids, waive informalities and make a decision that best suits the interests of the citizens of Maquoketa. Answers will be forwarded to all plan holders Each quote shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond, Certified Check, Certified Share Draft or Cashiers Check in a separate envelope in an amount equal to five (5%) of the total amount of the bid as security that if awarded a contract, the bidder will enter into a contract at the prices quoted and furnish required performance and payment bonds and certificates of insurance. The Certified Check, Certified Share Draft or Cashiers Check shall be drawn on a bank or Credit Union in Iowa or a bank or Credit Union chartered under the laws of the United States of America and payable to the City of Maquoketa, Iowa. Duration of Quote: Your quote(s) shall be for a complete and not-to-exceed amount. All quotes shall be good for 30 days after the bid opening. For any quotes to be considered, they must include all required information and prices which would include purchase, delivery and installation. The City reserves the right to reject all bids, either all or in part, waive informalities and select the quote that best suits its application.
