AV Media Production services (Media Producer) are required for the Museum of Utah which is part of the New North Capitol Building. The new facility will house, but is not limited to, the new museum for the Department of Cultural & Community Engagement, general conference space, space for the Governor's Cabinet members, legislative space, and underground parking levels. The majority of AV elements required under this scope of work (SOW) are located within the approximately 17,000 square feet of museum space. Some key AV elements are located in the building's Lobby/Atrium space. The State has engaged The Design Minds, Inc. as Exhibit Designer through the completion of the project. Exhibit planning and design for the new Museum of Utah has been completed through Design Development. This includes 100% Media Design, created by RLMG. Please refer to the addenda to this SFC for a summary package of the exhibit design and for the 100% Media Design documents. The anticipated media elements discussed in this SFC are described in more detail in those appended documents. Question Submission Close Date 8/9/2023 3:00 PM MDT Demolition of an existing structure and construction of the New North Capitol Building began in 2022. The new facility on Capitol Hill will complete the Utah Capitol master plan adopted in 2009. Information about the North Capitol Building Construction Project, including additional information about the building's design, may be found electronically. The building construction is estimated to be complete in the winter of 2025-2026. Exhibit installation is anticipated to unfold beginning in the fall of 2025, with a project end date in March of 2026. Museum Exhibit Construction Budget: The overall production budget for the museum exhibits and Lobby interpretive elements is approximately $15,000,000. This amount includes audiovisual equipment budgeted at $1,748,785.00. This SFC requires the selected Media Producer to specify equipment that adheres to this budget. The budget for the AV Media Production services described in this SFC is $2,475,000.00. *Proposal dates for the required references, management plans, statements of qualifications, and interviews will be based on the Selection Schedule included in the SFC. The Division of Facilities Construction and Management reserves the right to reject any or all proposals or to waive any formality or technicality in any proposal in the interest of the State.
