This parking lot has issues with drainage so this project will improve the drainage and provide new asphalt pavement. Sawcut existing asphalt. Remove existing asphalt pavement. Remove existing road base / subgrade to 11" below finish grades. Sawcut and remove existing curb and gutter. Sawcut and remove existing sidewalk. Remove and dispose of existing concrete channel through landscape island. Over excavate an additional 12" of soft subgrade and fill with pit-run material. Provide and install stabilization fabric. New storm drain catch basin. Sawcut top of existing catch basin to install concrete apron with new grate and frame. New 8" Dia. SDR-35 storm drain line. Install new curb & gutter to match existing. Install new release curb & gutter to match existing. Install new concrete sidewalk. Provide and install 5" thick concrete pad with 6" aggregate base. Install 8" road base. Install 3" asphalt. Install 4" wide parking stall striping. Install pedestrian access aisle striping. Install ADA symbol striping. Flush system and clean-out debris from existing and new storm drain catch basins. Provide and install topsoil and adjust sprinklers. Provide and install weed barrier. Provide and install new shredded bark. Provide and install new rock mulch. Trim trees to prevent breakage. General Conditions. Project mobilization. Erosion control, sweep, and dust control. Construction survey and staking. Traffic control and pedestrian safety.
