Sealed bids for the Marion Township Road 116 Resurfacing Improvements Project will be received by Robert J. Underwood, Chairman of the Marion Township Board of Trustees. Each bid must be accompanied by either a bid bond in the amount of 10% of the bid amount with a surety satisfactory to Marion Township, or by certified check, cashiers check, or letter of credit upon a solvent bank in the amount of not less than 10% of the bid amount in favor of Marion Township. Bid bonds shall be accompanied by Proof of Authority of the official or agent signing the bond. Attention of bidders is called to all of the requirements contained in the bid packet, particularly to the various prevailing wage rates, equal opportunity provisions, and the requirement for a bid guaranty and a performance bond for 100% of the contract price. Each proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. Each bidder must submit evidence of its experience on projects of similar size and complexity. All contractors and subcontractors involved with the project will to the extent practicable use Ohio products, materials, services, and labor in the implementation of their project. Additionally, contractor compliance with the equal employment opportunity requirements of Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123 is required. No bidder may withdraw his/her bid within thirty (30) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Marion Township reserves the right to waive any or all informalities and/or to reject any or all bids. Selection of bids will be based on lowest and/or best bid.
