Scope of Work: This project is for the purchase of Gearbox, Pumps & Motors Repairs, Fabrication and Rehabilitation Services for Water and Wastewater Services in accordance with the Specifications and Requirements. Goal Participation: This solicitation includes participation goals for Broward County certified County Business Enterprises. Per the Broward County Business Opportunity Act (the Act), as amended, Section 1-81.3(a) a CBE goal of at least twenty-five percent (25%) has been established for each County contract, except in those instances where contracts are exempt (as further described in the Act). The services identified for subcontracting under this project account for eight (8%) of the overall scope. Refer to Special Instructions to Vendors and the Office of Economic and Small Business Development Requirements section for additional information. Ownership Disclosure: Broward County is collecting entity ownership information for Vendors. This is for informational purposes only and the data will be used for Broward County's research on possible contracting opportunity disparities. The forms will be maintained separately from all other records of this solicitation and will be accessible only by authorized personnel. In accordance with Section 287.05701, Florida Statutes, the County may not request documentation or consider a vendor's social, political, or ideological interests when determining if the vendor is a responsible vendor or give preference to a vendor based on the vendor's social, political, or ideological interests. County/State License Requirements: In order to be considered a responsive and responsible Vendor for the scope of work set forth in this solicitation, the Vendor must possess a specified license at the time of submittal (refer to Special Instructions for requirements). Questions and Answers: The County provides a specified time for Vendors to ask questions and seek clarification regarding the requirements of the solicitation. All questions or clarification inquiries must be submitted through Periscope S2G by the date and time referenced in the solicitation document (including any addenda). The County will respond to all questions via Periscope. Vendor MUST submit its solicitation response electronically and MUST confirm its submittal in order for the County to receive a valid response through Periscope. Refer to the Purchasing Division website or contact Periscope for submittal instructions. It is the Vendor's sole responsibility to ensure its response is submitted and received through Periscope by the date and time specified in the solicitation. The County will not consider solicitation responses received by other means. Vendors are encouraged to submit their responses in advance of the due date and time specified in the solicitation document. In the event that the Vendor is having difficulty submitting the solicitation document through Periscope, immediately notify the Purchasing Agent and then contact Periscope for technical assistance.
