**As of October 23, 2023 no bids received project will scheduled to be returned October 25, 2023 with minor modifications. Bid evaluation and award won't happen until November 21st. The Mansfield Municipal Electric Department (MMED) requests proposals from qualified contractors for the design, prefabrication, site assembly/installation, and all services required to complete and deliver a new single story, steel, modular commercial storage shed building for Mansfield Municipal Electric Department to be installed at MMEDs electric substation site located at 275 Gilbert St, Mansfield, MA 02048. The building shall be based on the plan layout, size, elevations Proposals must be accompanied by a proposal security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the proposal price in the form of a bond or certified, treasurers or cashiers check issued by a responsible bank or trust company. If, upon acceptance of the proposal, a Proposer fails to enter into a Contract with the MMED, the deposit shall be forfeited to and become the property of the MMED. Otherwise, deposits will be returned within 14 days of executing the contract. Note that the amount of the deposit shall be 5% of the highest possible value of the proposal. The deposit must be included in the Price Proposal envelope. Wage rates as determined by the Mass. Commissioners of the Department of Labor and Industries apply to onsite work performed for this project. The provisions of , inclusive, shall not apply to the manufacture of modular buildings procured pursuant to but shall apply to all work ordinarily and customarily performed on modular buildings at building sites, including, but not limited to, construction of foundations, attachment to external utilities, and installation and assembly of modular unit, including any assembly performed at any site in the commonwealth other than a place of manufacture The Mansfield Municipal Electric Department reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals, or to accept any proposal or portion thereof deemed by them to be in the best interest of MMED to the extent permitted by law. Proposers shall not contact the Town Officials other than those listed. Offerors shall not discuss any proposals prior to the scheduled opening. Questions, requests for clarifications, or concerns about the RFP should be presented to Jeff Hayes at least four (4) business days prior to the submission deadline.
