The County of Lexington Department of Solid Waste Management is seeking sealed proposals from qualified vendors to perform roadway paving at the Edmund Landfill, located at 429 Landfill Lane, Lexington, SC 29073. 1. Length of pavement shall be 1200 feet long and 30 feet wide. 2. Paving will be completed in two (2) inch lifts. 3. Total thickness will be four (4) inches (compacted depth) of binder course. 4. Three (3) driveways will need to be paved approximately 10X50. 5. Approximately one hundred (100) tons of crush and run stone will be required to build certain areas. 6. Asphalt curbing with swales required to direct water to drainage points. 7. Four (4) speed humps will be evenly spaced with the first hump being at the start of the new pavement. 8. Eight (8) inch asphalt keyway will be placed at the end of the pavement. 9. Colors: Speed humps will be painted solid yellow; Double-yellow divider for the center of the roadway; Solid white line on the outer edge of each lane; Paint does not need to be reflective; and Include thermo paint as an option. 10. The successful contractor will provide all traffic control. There will be a mandatory on-site pre-bid meeting held at the Edmund Landfill on August 21, 2023 @ 10:00AM EST. The County of Lexington reserves the right to reject any and all submissions, to cancel a solicitation, and to waive any technicality if deemed to be in the best interest of the County. Lexington County reserves the right to reject any bid that contains prices for individual items or services that are inconsistent or unrealistic when compared to other prices in the same or other bids or ambiguous bids which are uncertain as to terms, delivery, quantity, or compliance with specifications may be rejected or otherwise disregarded if such action is in the best interest of the county.
