As of September 18, 2023, this project has not yet been awarded. The project is expected to be awarded on September 28, 2023. The work includes sidewalk improvements within City Council District 10 in the City of North Charleston. Construction of Package 10A includes the following Approximately 1,050 LF of new sidewalk on Apache Street along the north side of the street from the dead end near the former naval hospital to the existing sidewalk at Cherokee Street. Approximately 1,100 LF of new sidewalk on Osceola Street along both sides of the street from the dead end near the former naval hospital to the existing sidewalk at Cosgrove Ave and along the north side of the street from Cosgrove Ave to Cherokee Street. Approximately 1,150 LF of new sidewalk on Cochise Street along the south side of the street from the dead end near the format naval hospital to the existing sidewalk at Cosgrove Ave and along both sides for the street from Cosgrove Ave to Cherokee Street. Approximately 350 LF of new sidewalk on Proctor Street along the north side of the street from the cul-de-sac to Ubank Street and connecting to an existing sidewalk along Spruill Ave. Approximately 110 LF of new sidewalk on St. Johns Ave along the northeast side of the street from the existing sidewalk to McMillan Ave. Before a bid is considered for award, the bidder may be required to submit a statement of qualifications in detail as for his previous experience in performing similar or comparable work, and of his business and technical organization and financial resources and availability for performing the contemplated work. Bidders must make positive efforts to use small, minority, and women-owned businesses. Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond made payable to the Owner, for an amount equal to not less than five percent (5%) of the total Bid as a guarantee that, if the Bid is accepted, the required Agreement will be executed and that a one hundred percent (100%) Performance Bond and a one hundred percent (100%) Payment Bond will be furnished.
