A. The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and consists of the following: 1. Masonry repair and repointing, and other Work indicated in the Contract Documents. B. Type of Contract: 1. Project will be constructed under a single prime contract. All bidders shall be expected to keep bid prices firm for 60 days from the date of the bid opening, during which time the Owner will be able to make awards therein Questions regarding this Bid Package shall be submitted, using the bid questionnaire included in the project manual, to Tim Burke at twburke@bergmannpc.com until Tuesday August 22, 2023 Prime Contractors who are non-bidders returning complete sets in good, unmarked condition within the above time limit will be refunded also. No part of the deposit will be refunded for damaged and/or partial sets of the drawings and specifications. A Bid Bond or Certified Check made payable to the Owner in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Bid must be submitted by each Bidder with their Bid as a guarantee. The bid bond shall be subject to the conditions provided for in the Instructions to Bidders. Bidders shall not withdraw their Bid for a period of forty-five (45) days after the above date of Bid opening and shall guarantee the performance of all other obligations of the Bidders as set forth in Instructions to Bidders. Attention of the Bidders is called to the requirements as to the conditions of employment and the New York State Department of Labor prevailing wage rates to be paid under this Contract as well as to other provisions set forth in the Instructions to Bidders. The Board of Education hereby reserves the right to waive any informality and reject any or all Bids or to accept the one that in its judgment will be for the best interest of the school district. Document note: Only bidders obtaining plans and specifications from Syracuse Blueprint will be registered and allowed to submit a bid on this project.
