The Daviess County Commissioners reserve the right to reject any or all bids. All bids are required to submit Form #96, with the non-collusion affidavit, executed and notarized must be completed and submitted by all bidders. The bidder shall indemnify, defend, exculpate, and hold harmless Daviess County as outlined in the "Responsibility for damage claims" section ofthe detailed specifications. The surety on the performance bond cannot be released for one year. A payment bond will be required by bidders for public works to ensure payment of materials supplied to the bidder. This bond is executed by the bidder to Daviess County in an amount equal to the contract price, and its surety can not be released for one year after final settlement with the bidder. Daviess County and it's subcontractors shall follow all state, federal and local requirement (regulations), as a recipient of state, local and federal monies and specifically will abide by the non-discrimination provisions of IC 22-9-1-10 and the Civil Right Act of 1964. Proof of the Contractors Comprehensive liability Insurance, Automobile liability insurance and owners and contractor protective liability insurance will be provided in the amounts and limits set in the detailed specifications for public works. The salt/sand storage building is to be constructed and completed in the 2023 calendar year, on the current Daviess County Highway property, located at 5247E 100N, Montgomery, Indiana 47558. The building shall be constructed and built in conformance with the best known engineering standards of the trade, relative to design, strength, quality, durability and workmanship, and shall meet the latest federal safety standards. 1-80'x260'x24'Pole building set on poured concrete walls 1-40'x260'x16'open side lean to 12".10" & 8" poured concrete walls with reinforcing as per attached 8" poured concrete floor in 80x260 6"x5x260 concrete apron on 260' wall with overhead doors All truss clips to be heavy galvanized minimum Roof to have 5/8" OSB decking covered with synthetic felt Walls on top of concrete bin walls to be 2x10 at 16" o.c. covered with 3/4" CDX plywood on interior to bottom of trusses Front 260' wall with overhead doors to be 2x8 at 16" o.c. covered with 3/4" CDX plywood on interior to bottom of trusses Roof & side metal 26 Ga painted metal with stainless steel screws 80x80 brine storage to have #2 painted 29 ga metal ceiling with stainless steel screws 20x260 open lean to have #2 painted 29 ga metal ceiling with stainless steel screws 6-16x16 insulated overhead doors with jackshaft opener and chain hoist 2-blank steel entry doors 80x80 brine storage to have 6" batt insulation in walls and 12" blown cellulose in ceiling Architectural plans and state release included
