2020 AMP 03 BUC-EE'S PUMP STATION CAPACITY IMPROVEMENTS. The scope of work includes the construction of a new 1.6 MGD submersible type pump station and associated appurtenances and site work, abandonment of existing pump station and sewer lines, installation of 3,600 linear feet of 16-inch ductile iron gravity sewer and manholes via open cut / same trench / trenchless methods, 5,000 linear feet of 12-inch HDPE force main via open cut methods, temporary flow control, and other appurtenant work. Bids will only be accepted from pre-qualified contractors who are listed on the Plan Holders List, signifying that they have purchased a set of documents from the Engineer, and who attend the MANDATORY Pre-Bid Conference. The Contract Time for this Project is five hundred and forty-five (545) consecutive calendar days. The first 180 days will be an administrative period followed by a 365-day construction period from the effective date of the written Notice to Proceed to achieve Final Acceptance. Liquidated damages will be assessed if this time limit is exceeded. THIS PROJECT IS CLASSIFIED AS A CLASS "D" (PUMP STATION AND PACKAGE PLANT FACILITY) SEWER PROJECTS. ALL PROSPECTIVE BIDDERS MUST BE PRE-QUALIFIED WITH THE JEFFERSON COUNTY ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES DEPARTMENT TO BID CLASS "D" PROJECTS IN ORDER TO BID ON THIS PROJECT. THE PROSPECTIVE BIDDER OR ITS SUBCONTRACTOR MUST ALSO BE PREQUALIFIED TO CONSTRUCT, AT A MINIMUM, CLASS "B" SEWER LINE PROJECTS. TO PRE-QUALIFY WITH THE DEPARTMENT AND TO CONSTRUCT CLASS "D" SEWER PROJECT AND/OR CLASS "B" SEWER LINE PROJECTS, EACH PROSPECTIVE BIDDER MUST FURNISH WRITTEN EVIDENCE OF COMPETENCY AND EVIDENCE OF FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY TO THE COUNTY. ACCORDINGLY, THE COUNTY WILL NOT ACCEPT PRE-QUALIFICATIONS AFTER AUGUST 25, 2023. BID PROPOSAL FORMS WILL NOT BE ISSUED TO PROSPECTIVE BIDDERS WHO DO NOT PRE-QUALIFY.
