The intent of this Request for Bid (RFB) is to seek and obtain proposals to replace roofing shingles at Ogden Park, 225 Ogden Park Drive North Carolina requires that anyone who contracts with another person or entity to construct or make improvements to any building, highway, or public utilities, including grading, or who undertakes to superintend or manage such activities, be licensed as a general contractor if the work costs $30,000 or more. The term of this Agreement shall begin from receipt of Notice to Proceed, and all work shall be completed by November 1, 2023. Scope of work: - All roofing measurements listed above should be verified by the contractor prior to submitting proposals. Please contact Paul Kowlaski, 24 hours in advance, at 910-798-7634 for a site visit. - Strip and remove all roofing materials to bare plywood - Remove and replace any damaged /rotted plywood as needed. (Particle board orChip board will not be accepted) - Remove and replace any damaged /rotted facia board (including any aluminum coil stock) - Install new step flashing - Install new drip edge - Remove and replace all plumbing boots, vent caps, etc. - Install synthetic underlayment - Install ice and water shield - Install Owens Corning Oakridge architectural shingles (color- driftwood) or equivalent. - Install new ridge vents. - Dispose of all old construction materials - Clean construction area grounds of debris, nails, etc. Magnet roller must be usedaround each building perimeter to remove all nails, etc. - All materials must be Installed as per manufactures recommendations and inaccordance with any local building codes - Contractor responsible for obtaining any necessary permits
