Reference number : 1751319 This request for information does not constitute an invitation to tender, a qualification, a call for tenders, or any commitment by Ville de Laval to subsequently launch a call for tenders and may in no way be interpreted as creating a link between Ville de Laval and the persons who will respond to this request for information. Conversely, responses to the request for information will not constitute contractual or pre-contractual commitments on the part of their authors. The information received in response to this request will allow the City of Laval to better understand the available offer and the particularities of the services offered on the market. Whether or not a potential supplier responds to it will not affect its ability to obtain contracts at a later date. Nor will this request for information be automatically followed by the acquisition of any good or service described therein. All costs related to the preparation of responses are the sole responsibility of the respondent. No claim to this effect may be made to the City. Background: Cities face significant constraints related to the capacity of the drainage network and the treatment of large volumes of water to be treated. Densification, the increase in impervious surfaces and climate change are leading us to question ourselves and review our traditional practices in order to promote groundwater recharge and reduce the volumes of runoff to be treated. Stormwater management at the source could relieve sewer systems and bring environmental and social benefits. The City of Laval wants to validate the interest and capacity of the market to carry out a pilot project of permeable paving work on a street to improve service to citizens and relieve the existing drainage network. The City plans to complete the project as soon as the 2024 thaw period ends. If this project proves positive, this type of work could be replicated on other streets on the City's territory.
