BID VALID $48M-$96M LIQUIDATED DAMAGES $7,500/day START/DELIVER DATE January 2024 PROJECT DURATIONS 574 days LICENSE REQUIREMENTS B The Project encompasses the construction of a new academic building situated south of the University Hall Building and east of Markstein Hall, spanning approximately 65,000 to 120,000 gross square feet (GSF). This new facility aims to offer a blend of science and engineering programs, along with additional classrooms and student support areas. It will consist of teaching and research laboratories, spaces for teaching and learning, offices, student facilities, building support services, and a café. The design should include outdoor gathering spaces on the ground floor and potentially on the top floor of the building. The building will be four stories tall and will function as a standalone building, equipped with building systems designed to achieve net zero energy. There is also potential to utilize an additional well located on the building premises. The use of natural gas utility is prohibited, and a water source heat pump will supplement the heating requirements. The total square footage will include both exterior and interior circulation areas, necessitating the inclusion of a loading dock and a freight elevator in the plans. The project will entail the realignment of the existing service road, and adequate provisions for site fire protection services must be made. The ultimate objective is to create a building that achieves net zero energy consumption and obtain LEED Platinum certification.
