Bidders shall examine this RFB and shall exercise their judgment as to the nature and scope of the work required. No plea of ignorance concerning conditions or difficulties that exist or may hereafter arise in the execution of the work under the resulting contract, as a consequence of failure to make necessary examinations and investigations, shall be accepted as an excuse for any failure or omission on the part of the Bidders to fulfill the requirements of the resulting contract. This contract is for exterior repair and restoration at Breese Stevens Field located at 917 East Mifflin Street. The scope of work includes the furnishing of all labor, materials, equipment, tools, hauling, disposal, and other services and incidentals necessary to complete the work in accordance with the intent of this contract. The Contractor shall use properly functioning equipment capable of performing the tasks required. The Contractor shall furnish workers who perform quality work and who are experienced and knowledgeable in the work proposed. The building is a locally designated landmark and individually listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Alterations to the property must be reviewed and approved by the State Historic Preservation Office and the City Landmarks Commission before work can commence. The work described in the scope of work has been reviewed and approved. Deviations from this scope of work are not approved and will not be considered. The Engineer reserves the right to increase or decrease the quantities of any items of work, including increase or decrease of quantities by alteration of plans, as may be considered necessary or desirable during the progress of the work to satisfactorily complete the project.
