The city of Lansing is addressing critical roofing needs located throughout the wastewater treatment. Projects included in the bid package consist of full tear off and replacements of existing ballasted EPDM roof systems.. The following pages give drawings and details outlining the scope of work for each project as a supplement to the specifications. Tank Replacement will be taking place in the South Chemical Building and Sodium Hypochlorite Storage Building. The contractor will be responsible for coordinating with other trades for timing of these roofs to coincide with the tank replacement, which requires removal through the roof. A. The Project is located at the WWTP, 1625 Sunset Ave., in the City of Lansing, Michigan. B. The work consists of the removal of approximately 17,000 square feet of existing ballasted EPDM and flood and gravel built up roof, at 4 different buildings, and installation of a new SBS modified roofing system. The existing roof decks are concrete, some have slope and other are flat. All concrete decks will receive a torch applied vapor barrier. All roofs will receive a minimum 5.2" of polyiso insulation. Tapered insulation or crickets will be used to get appropriate drainage to sumped internal drains. A 1/2 " gypsum cover board will be adhered to the insulation prior to installation of the membrane system. All new coping, edge, and counterflashing metal shall meet ANSI-SPRI ES-1 standards. C.
