As of August 22, 2023, this project is in the conceptual phase. An architect has not been selected. Although a firm timeline for construction has not been determined, construction is expected to start in April 2025 and end in January 2026. UNIVERSITY OF WISCONSIN - PLATTEVILLE CAMPUS Project Description and Scope This project will replace a total of three separate exterior storefront door systems (a seven-door pair, four-door pair, and two-door pair) and the matching interior systems with new commercial grade, energy efficient systems, each of the same door capacity. Each entrance shall be ADA compliant including electronic access and automatic entrance on ADA door. Systems are set in masonry openings and include overhead windows, frames, door and ADA hardware. There is water intrusion in the building entering between the exterior concrete ramp and the building envelope. The concrete ADA ramp associated flat concrete work and metal hand railings will all need to be removed and replaced after a waterproof barrier to the building exterior is applied. The design consultant will work with the university to make and document prioritized recommendations for (a) the overall proposed scope of work and (b) the proposed scope of work per building to assist the university in keeping the project within budget.
