Seeking bids for the replacement of two 230kV breakers at Cowlitz PUD s Swift No. 2 Switchyard Bid security is required in the form of a Bid Bond, Cashier s Check or Certified Check in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid proposed. Any bidder may withdraw their bid either in person or by written request at any time prior to the time set for the bid opening Cowlitz PUD reserves the right to accept or reject any or all parts of any bid received; to reject the bid of any bidder who, in the sole judgment of Cowlitz PUD, may not perform work acceptable to Cowlitz PUD; and to waive any irregularities in the bids *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project. The Contractor shall provide labor, material, tools, and equipment necessary to remove two existing 230kV breakers and install two new 230kV breakers that will be provided by Cowlitz PUD at Cowlitz PUD's Swift No. 2 Switchyard located at 18000 Lewis River Rd, in Cougar, Washington. Work shall be performed in accordance with the Specifications and Drawings, attached as Exhibits A, B and C. a. Contractor shall remove two existing 230kV ABB breakers 1P24 and 1P27 including removal of all SF6 gas in compliance with all applicable laws, codes, rules, and regulations. b. Existing wiring shall be de-terminated and clearly labeled for reconnection to new breaker terminals. c. Existing conduit shall be removed back to ground level to allow for rerouting of new conduit to new breaker cabinet. d. Existing grounds shall be replaced with new grounding conductor down to the existing ground grid. e. Both removed breakers shall be stored at the substation parking area designated by the District. f. If needed Contractor shall prep level pad to store removed breakers on g. Existing SF6 bottles shall be staged in the parking area with the existing breakers. h. Contractor shall install two new 230kV Siemens breakers in locations 1P24 and 1P27 including: i. Install of new breakers ii. Install of new jumpers from new breakers to existing disconnect switches iii. Filling of new SF6 gas iv. Replacement of grounding conductors v. Rerouting new conduit for existing control wiring from ground level to new cabinet vi. Re-termination of breaker control wiring vii. Assist with commissioning of new breakers to resolve any issues related to installation portions performed by the contractor i. Contractors to provide their own protective grounds
