The City reserves the right to consider such factors as time of completion of the Work, materials and methods of construction, experience and responsibility of the Bidder, and similar factors in determining which Bid it deems to be in its best interests. General summary of Work to be performed: The project consists of Construction of Business Park III Substation. Bidders will be required to bid on the entire project. Each Bid shall be accompanied, in a separate sealed envelope, by Bid security in an amount of not less than 10% of the Bid. Bid Bonds must be executed by corporations authorized to contract as Surety in the State of Illinois and in a form described in the Contract Documents. Bid security shall be forfeited if the Bidder fails or refuses to sign and deliver a signed Agreement and furnish required contract security. Performance of the Work will start within 21 calendar days after date of Notice to Proceed. Work shall be completed within the time stated in the Contract Documents. The City reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive informalities or technicalities in any Bid and to accept the Bid which it deems to be in the best interest of the Owner. Question Deadline 09/06/2024 Questions received less than 10 days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered.
