The City of Lawrence is seeking a Project Management Consultant (PMC) to provide expert project management advice, support and assistance on development related initiatives. The PMC will be assigned to multiple projects and associated teams to make sure goals and objectives are being kept and monitoring the progress and efficiency of projects. Maintains central project management database and provides status reports. Understands larger citywide strategic needs while tracking project health, staying alert for risk and resolving issues as they arise. Upholds standards and monitors scope with project quality. The PMC will be working closely with the Mayor's Office, interdepartmental agencies, and key community stakeholders focusing on incorporating the planning and design components of the Mayor's vision and initiatives in the overall development scheme. Questions concerning this request for proposal must be submitted to City of Lawrence Office of the Mayor, Attention: Octavien Spanner, by email at ospanner@cityoflawrence.com by Wednesday, August 16, 2023, by 12:00PM. The contract term will be one (1) year with the option to renew for two additional years, for a total of three years, at the City's discretion. The number of hours available under this contract can range from 1,500 to 1,800 hours annually. The City of Lawrence may cancel this RFP, or reject in whole or in part any and all proposals, if it is determined that cancellation or rejection serves the best interests of the City of Lawrence. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
