The latest edition of the Standard Specifications for Public Works Construction (Green Book), including any supplements, is included by reference as a part of the Specifications for this project. The City of Westminster reserves the right to accept or reject any bids presented, to waive any irregularity and informality in the bids and bid process, and to retain all bids and guarantees for a period of sixty (60) days for examination and comparison, all as specified in the contract documents. General and Specifications. The work to be done consists installing new water lines, water valves, fire hydrants, siphons, fittings, thrust blocks, curb gutter, sidewalk, handicap ramp, trenching, backfill, trench repaving, relocating fire hydrant, applying slurry type II, installing striping, pavement markings, curb painting and signs, and all appurtenant work in connection therewith as shown on the drawings and in accordance with these specifications. B. Control of Work. The City shall decide all questions which may arise as to the quality of, and acceptability of the materials and work. Control of work, equipment, and inspections shall conform to the Standard Specifications. The work shall be done in accordance with these plans and specifications.
