The County of Venango is soliciting sealed bids for carpet installation at the Countys Human Services Complex located at 1 Dale Ave., Franklin, PA 16323 All bids shall be accompanied by cash, a certified check, cashiers check, bank good faith check, made payable to the County of Venango, or other irrevocable letter of credit drawn upon a bank authorized to do business in the Commonwealth or by a bond with corporate surety equal to 10% of the bid total. A Payment Bond and a Performance Bond each in the amount of 100 percent of the Contract price will be required from the Vendor to whom the work is awarded. The County reserves the right to conduct personal interviews of any or all bidders after bids have been received and publicly opened, prior to selection. The County will not be liable for any costs incurred by the bidder in connection with such an interview. Any bid received after the date and time specified will not be considered. Bids may be withdrawn or modified in person by a bidder or their authorized representative, provided that their identity is made known and they sign a receipt for the bid before deadline. Each bidder shall be expected to furnish the County with additional information as may be reasonably required. The County will not be responsible for any costs not included in the bids and any subsequent contracted-for costs. The Venango County Board of Commissioners reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, and to waive any defects or irregularities in the best interest of the County. Box 831 Franklin, PA 16323 (814) 432-9508 sbacker@co.venango.pa.us Site Preparation o Areas are to be cleaned and cleared each day. o Removal of all debris from the site is the responsibility of the General Contractor. o All inspections, permits and other fees are the responsibility of the General Contractor. o General Contractor is responsible for removing any old materials, as needed. o Work must be done between 7:00AM and 4:30PM, unless otherwise approved by the Director of Property Management. Removal/Installation o Removal and installation of carpet in twenty-five (25) rooms, two (2) hallways and two (2) conference rooms within the Human Services Complex. Total square footage is approximately 7,000 sq. ft. o Exact measurements will be the responsibility of the contractor/installer. o Contractor will be responsible for moving furniture and all other items in the area where new carpet is to be laid. o Cove base is to be installed in most areas, as directed by the County's Director of Property Management. o All furniture and items moved for carpet installation to be returned to their original location. Materials o Reuse newer grey cove base where available. o New matching grey cove base where old cove does not match. o Shaw Biotic nylon tiles. (Color to be chosen by a county representative).
