**As of October 19,2023 project was awarded to CGS Waterproofing, LCC, awarded amount is $495,329.21** Solicitations received after this time on the due date, will not be accepted. At this time, Gwinnett County BOC does not accept electronic submittals for formal solicitations. During the period for which a person/firm has been debarred or suspended, or placed on the Gwinnett County ineligible source list, that person/firm shall not submit or cause to be submitted offers, quotes, bids, or proposals, etc. to Gwinnett County, even when automatically or electronically distributed a notification or notified of a solicitation request. Submittals from firms currently on the Gwinnett County ineligible source list will not be considered. Replace six (6) existing gas/electric split system furnace-coil units with new split system furnace-coil units (GF-2 is not to be replaced). Replace six (6) existing air cooled condensing units with new air cooled condensing units (CU-2 is not to be replaced). Replace four (4) existing packaged gas/electric rooftop units with new rooftop units. Replace four (4) roof exhaust fans with new roof exhaust fans. Replace two (2) electric unit heaters with new electric unit heaters. Paint all existing exposed gas piping on roof. Replace two (2) existing gas pressure regulators on roof as noted on the drawings. Provide UV lamps and bi-polar ionization units in each new packaged rooftop unit and furnace-coil unit, as specified. Provide new sight glasses in refrigerant piping at each new condensing unit. Modify existing Alerton Building Automation System to accommodate modifications to the HVAC systems. Remove all EPDM roofing membrane, and rigid insulation down to the existing metal deck, and discard. Remove all existing metal flashings including coping, counter flashings, scupper BL Gwinnett County Suwanee Public Library HVAC and Roofing Replacement Project SUMMARY OF WORK 01 01 00-2 liners, exterior flanges, and pipe flashings associated with the existing EPDM roof system, and discard. Remove the existing roof drain strainers, perforated extensions and clamping rings, and store for reuse. Replace components as needed. Prime and repaint drain bowls and strainers. Furnish and install new scupper liners and exterior flanges in compliance with the manufacturer's installation instructions. Furnish and install new mechanically fastened polyisocyanurate insulation board and taper 1/4" per foot to drain. The insulation board shall have a minimum thermal rating of R-25 minimum (continuous). Furnish and install new 20-year 60 mil Thermoplastic-Polyolefin (TPO) single-ply roofing membrane fully adhered over new mechanically fastened insulation board system. Furnish and install new membrane flashings and preformed pipe flashings. Furnish and install new walkway pads around mechanical equipment. Furnish and install any TPO roofing system associated miscellaneous items, as specified by the roofing manufacturer, to achieve compliance with the specified warranty. When applicable, the County shall obtain all rights of way and easements required for the project unless otherwise specified. Bidding documents may be obtained from CPL the above address free of charge for a digital copy. Only complete sets will be issued. Applications for documents should be filed with the Architect. Bids in the case of Corporations not chartered in Georgia, must be accompanied by proper certification stating that said Corporation is authorized to do business in the State of Georgia. No Bidder may withdraw his Bid within sixty (60) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Bidder agrees to complete the Contract awarded within the "allowable calendar days for completion" from the date of the "Notice to Proceed". Where Gwinnett County provides forms for bid or bond submissions, they must be used without exception. A five percent (5%) bid bond must be submitted with the bid. Successful contractor will be required to provide a one hundred percent (100%) payment and one hundred percent (100%) performance bond as well as an insurance certificate fulfilling requirements as stated in the bid documents. Surety and insurance companies must have an AM Best rating of A-5 or greater, be listed in the Federal Registry of Companies holding Certificate of Authority and acceptable sureties on Federal Bonds, be licensed by the Georgia Insurance Department and the Georgia Secretary of State to do business in the State of Georgia. All bonds must be submitted on forms provided by Gwinnett County and agencies providing bonds and insurance should provide proof that they meet the criteria outlined in the bid and contract documents. Gwinnett County does not discriminate on the basis of disability in the admission or access to its programs or activities. Award will be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bid. Gwinnett County reserves the right to reject any or all bids to waive technicalities, and to make an award deemed in its best interest. Bids may be split or awarded in entirety. Gwinnett County reserves the option to negotiate terms, conditions and pricing with the lowest responsive, responsible bidder(s) at its discretion.
