The Massachusetts Convention Center Authority is a public authority of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The Massachusetts Convention Center Authority (the "Authority") owns and operates the John B. Hynes Veterans Memorial Convention Center, The Boston Convention and Exhibition Center, the Boston Common Garage, all located in Boston and the MassMutual Center located in Springfield, MA. The scope of services to be provided under this contract will include project management and construction administration services for such phases of the Project(s), as the Authority designates, subject to the direction of the Authority and its Project Manager. Please note that the Authority intends to also utilize its own staff, individual consultants and firm(s) selected through this RFP to create integrated construction management teams appropriate to the nature and scale of the projects; therefore, services provided under this RFP may be limited to some of the following tasks and responsibilities at the Authority's sole option. A briefing session will be held at the time indicated on the cover page of this RFP. The briefing session will be held at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center, Administrative Offices in Boston, Firms intending to file Proposals pursuant to this RFP are required to notify Brendan Flynn, Director of Procurement, Legal Department, by electronic mail at bflynn@massconvention.com, of their intentions to file a Proposal. Following the pre-bid conference, proposers will be afforded an opportunity to tour the BCEC, the Hynes Convention Center Facility and the Boston Common Garage. Individuals wishing to tour the MassMutual Center in Springfield should contact Brendan Flynn to set up an appointment. Each proposer is responsible for thoroughly examining the sites and acquainting himself with local conditions that may in any manner affect the cost or performance of the contract. Failure of a proposer to visit the sites or attend the pre-bid conference shall in no way relieve the proposer of any obligation with respect to his offer. M/WBE participation goals shall apply to the Contract: M/WBE participation goal: 17.9% Questions or requests for information, clarification or interpretation of the bidding documents must be submitted in writing in accordance with the Instruction to Bidders and must be received not later than 5:00 p.m., August 11, 2023. Execution of Contract November 1, 2023 The Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to only award a contract if it is in the best interests of the public to do so. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
