Vista Verde Phase 4 Drainage Improvements To reduce flooding and repair the damaged roads in the Vista Verde neighborhood Phase 4, the roadway surfaces in these areas and the drainage are being improved. Phase 4 is the section from NW 41st Avenue Road north through NW 207 Lane and continue north on NW 41st Avenue Road to the end of NW 41st Avenue Road. The existing drainage is insufficient to capture the runoff from the adjacent streets, which includes the adjacent streets (access roads to the properties-details in the construction plans). To reduce future flooding events, the Contractor will install additional drain field, catch basins, drain pipe and inter-connect the existing drainage piping. The City encourages Certified Minority Business Enterprises and Section 3 Businesses to submit proposals. The City also strongly encourages Bidder(s) to hire employees residing within City of Miami Gardens that are Section 3 residents. This is a HUD Funded Federal Program, all Bidders must agree to comply with the Prevailing Wage Rate / Federal Davis-Bacon Act Provision , whichever is higher if applicable. It is requested that the bidder(s) quote fixed prices that will be guaranteed to the City of Miami Gardens throughout the term of the contract. Substantial completion shall be 360 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed and final completion of 390 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed. These liquidated damages of Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) per day will be deducted from the contract sum for each calendar day elapsing beyond 360 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed. The City of Miami Gardens reserves the right to waive irregularities and to reject any and all Solicitations.
