Death Valley is in need of repair and replacement of various tactile elements in the Furnace Creek Visitor Center ---------------------------------------- A. Repair mine rock scenery, including touchup of peeled off layers with a matching color and fill to hide the difference in coating thickness. B. Rehab of 8 animal touchable exhibits based, including matching of rock (sand) background in existing exhibit, and unique animal coloration based on local species. C. Rehab of alluvial fan exhibit, including touchup paint, general cleaning, and replacement of custom plexiglass cover. D. Rehab of 7 rock samples, including deep cleaning the buildup from repetitive touching. E. Replacement of flipbook pages and rings and backing. F. Repair of chipped paint/formations on walls benches and exhibits in at least 10 areas. G. Replace cracked acrylic panel on "Timbisha" Exhibit. H. Replace interactive "Build your own Desert Animal Magnets" (15 Pieces). I. Repair and clean 6 geology drawers. J. Repair and clean 5 pull out images depicting what the environment looks like in years past. Images are scratched. K. Survey of cracked exhibit case door (not pictured) The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this Time.
